Maa TV adds to more channels to its fold

Maa TV Network launched two new channels on Friday. The channels launched by the Hyderabad based Telegu TV network included a movie and kids channel titled Maa Movies and Maa Junior respectively.

The addition of these two new channels increased the network’s number of channels to four. Previous channels include entertainment channel Maa TV and music channel Maa Music.

Describing the launch as a major step, Maa TV Network Chairman, N Prasad said that Maa TV’s vision was to be recognized worldwide as a network that delivered pleasant and wholesome entertainment.

On the hiring of Tollywood actor, Ram Charan, as a director on the network’s board, Prasad stated that as an icon of the new generation, Charan would add value to the network’s brand and contribute his innovative thoughts on entertainment programming.

Maa TV Network launches Maa Music channel

Maa Television Network has launched an Telugu music and lifestyle channel called Maa Music today, which the company claims to be the trendiest and contemporary.

The programming mix is like a full platter catering to the musical taste of all kinds of viewers, which includes back to back music, live shows, interactive, and fillers. Apart from music, the channel also focuses on lifestyle shows.

Maa TV to launch serial with film actress Simran

South Indian film actress Simran is making her debut on television. Telugu general entertainment channel Maa TV has tapped the star for a serial called Simran Marapu Rani kathalu which will air from 26 May.

The show will hit the screens from Monday to Thursday at 8:30 pm. The production house of the series is Pyramid Saimira Production International Services Ltd (PSPIL).

Simran… will have short stories of 20 episodes each, unlike long stretched stereotype soaps.

“With this show South Indian actress Simran is making her debut into the Telugu television industry,” Maa TV said in a release.

PSPIL content head (AP) Thammareddi Bharadwaj said, “Simran Marapu Rani Kathalu is going to add in lots of freshness to the television topography due to these interesting stories.”

Maa Television Network CEO Sharrath Marar said, “We are happy that Simran is making her debut in television and it is happening on Maa TV.”
