The first and only electronic programme guide (EPG) channel of India, What’s-On-India, makes a new move to bring more diversification in the content broadcast on the channel.
The TV Guidance channel is readying to roll out a new show, ‘First on What’s On’. The show provides a sneak peek into the upcoming shows on television and exclusive broadcast content.
What’s-On-India has partnered with a host of the leading television networks on India for the same. Star Plus, Zoom, Vh1, Sony Pictures, Lumiere, and Nickelodeon, among others, are few channels which have signed exclusive agreement with the TV EPG channel.
Under this partnership, What’s On India will showcase exclusive excerpts from the upcoming shows, performances and behind the scene action and drama. The ‘First On What’s On’ show will telecast all the behind-the-scene action, bloopers, rehearsals, teasers, footage of shoot and performances exclusively even before the official broadcaster telecasts it on their channel.
What’s On India recently fulfilled a similar arrangement with dance reality show Zara Nach Ke Dikha on Star Plus to promote its exclusive content on its channel.
Speaking on the launch Mr. Atul Phadnis, CEO, What’s on India said, “The What’s-On-India channel plays cupid between the right eye-balls and the right Television content. This new show on our channel is an opportunity for various broadcasters to highlight their upcoming and big-ticket properties to ensure that the right eyeballs get to preview their shows. This could be done through sneak peeks into the show or showcasing the high points of the show in the form of teasers.”
The channel recently revamped its on-air presentation which now has a slicker look with many new features for its viewers like continuous videos and recommendations, audio-video and ad inventory playing all the time. With this new layout, the channel is facilitating wider entertainment to viewers in form of exclusive broadcaster content, music videos, promos and preview content, etc.
